Mauricio Naranjo is a Systems Engineer from San Buenaventura University (Cali, Colombia), graduating with honors in 1998 with a specialization in Software Analysis and Design, and further specialization in Economics and Finance. He brings 20+ years of experience in the evaluation, design, and implementation of Enterprise Architecture initiatives (TOGAF) and large-scale Enterprise Systems Integration. His expertise spans Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) & Middleware, B2B integrations, APIs, BPM, ECM, MDM, BAM, E-Commerce, Marketplaces, CRM, ERP, and IT Infrastructure Architecture (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) across Cloud and On-Premise environments. He has delivered 24x7 online and Internet-based solutions across Europe and the Americas.

An entrepreneur since 2003, Mauricio has led 700+ successful contracts and engagements. He is currently the Founder, Leader, and Global Director of Enterprise Architecture at ONE IT WORLD, a role he has held since 2010.
ONE IT WORLD received a global Computerworld Laureate Award in Washington, D.C. for a landmark sector-wide banking integration initiative with the Ministry of Finance of El Salvador.

Mauricio has also served as a Master’s Professor (MBIT – Master of Business Information Technologies), teaching Integration Architectures at Universidad de los Andes, and has been a frequent speaker at Oracle User Group seminars worldwide since 1998, including events in Denver, New York, London, San Salvador, San José, Santo Domingo, Bogotá, Panama City, Lima, and Santiago de Chile.

He is a Co-Founder of the IASA Colombia Chapter (International Association of Software Architects), a speaker at The Open Group World Enterprise Architecture Seminar in Amsterdam (2014), and co-author of the book “Oracle 9i Java Programming” published in England in 2001.

Mauricio was born in Cali, Colombia (1973). He is bilingual, fluent in Spanish (native) and English (professional proficiency, spoken and written).

Since 1997, he has been a technology entrepreneur, investor, global enterprise architecture director, expert in design patterns, author, international conference speaker, and graduate-level professor in Enterprise Architecture.

Outside of his professional career, he is a music producer and collector, a fitness coach with six years of training in physical conditioning and nutrition, and an active kite surfer.
